Question:
What are Papain and Bromelain and what do they do?
Answer:
Papain is an enzyme from papaya fruit. Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple.
They both dissolve dead skin cells, thus gently exfoliating our skin.
Using these enzymes, gently but thoroughly removes dead skin cells that
block our pores. When our pores are open our natural oils can come through
and not build up causing black heads, white heads and pimples. With open pores,
anything therapeutic we apply can get right into the skin, including oxygen that
is so essential. Papain has been found to help in healing wounds, decreasing
inflammation, dissolving oils, accelerating cell turnover; while bromelain is
very softening, with strong anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties.
Question:
What are essential oils and why do you use them?
Answer:
Essential oils are tiny molecules that contain a plants aroma or scent.
Most of these oils are extracted from the plants by steam distillation.
These oils are able to treat both physical and emotional ailments. Most are antibacterial,
reduce inflammation and infection, stimulate repair of cells, hydrate dry skin,
stimulate circulation, relieve bruises, reduce oils in oily skin, treat minor
injuries, help with arthritis, headaches, muscle strains, calm and relax the
mind and nervous system.
Question:
How do I use both the cleanser and scrub?
Answer:
Every morning and evening, pour a dime size amount of the cleanser in one hand,
wet the other hand and rub them together, then massage the product into the skin
for at least 30 seconds to give the enzymes a chance to dissolve the dead skin cells.
Before shaving or 3 times a week you can add a little of the scrub to the dime size
amount of cleanser (in your hand) and massage this into the skin for 30 seconds.
Question:
What is the difference between the cleanser and the scrub?
Answer:
The formula for the cleanser and scrub are identical, with the exception
that the scrub contains tiny jojoba oil beads. Jojoba beads are made from
the jojoba oil and are an excellent safe alternative to the use of plastic
beads or nut shells (which can tear the skin) for exfoliating the skin.
